Drawing inspiration from the Academic, Impressionist, and Pre-Raphaelite painters of the nineteenth century, I explore the symbolic and archetypal dimensions of human experience, particularly as they emerge through religion, mythology, and folklore. Equally central to my practice is a fascination with the science and mystery of vision itself. Through the study of light, atmosphere, and optical phenomena, I seek to better understand the relationship between perception, form, and meaning.
